Happy Halloween!!

The kids had fun carving jack o' lanterns together this year.  Even Ryder got into it and enjoyed himself for the first time.  He wasn't exactly crazy about the texture as we gutted the pumpkins, but he was not near as dramatic as Sheldon was at that age!!  Kalyn had to cheer at two football games on Halloween night so Ricky and I took the boys trick-or-treating.  We just went around the neighborhood close the stadium and it was so fun to watch Ryder soak it all in...he actually "got it" and did great!  He was dressed as the cutest cow ever and Sheldon was a Ninja.  When Kalyn's games were over, she changed into her Cleopatra costume real quick and we walked around a couple blocks to see if anyone was still out trick-or-treating.  Sadly, she missed all that fun, but I was glad to get a picture of all three kids in costume together.  Who knows if Kalyn will be dressing up next year!

Trunk or Treat!

Our church family held its first Trunk or Treat event for the community.  It was a wonderful time and we saw a lot of new faces.  All the kids (and adults too!) were cute in their costumes and had fun trunk or treating in the parking lot.  We had some awesome trunks!!  Several families held a small carnival with some fun games and there was also the famous bounce house outside.  Many thanks to all who participated in the event and we are already looking forward to next year!

Undefeated

Sheldon and his team have been winning all of their football games!  It has been so much fun to watch them all play and of course, especially fun to watch my son as quarterback.  He is doing awesome and has made so many good plays and tackles...I couldn't be any prouder of my boy!  This weekend will be their last game of the season then the playoffs will be in a couple weeks.  Lets go Eagles!!!

Setting up for deer season

We all made a trip to Llano over the weekend to put replace batteries and put corn in the deer feeders.  Ricky also needed to fix the deer blinds as well.  Sheldon and Kalyn were good helpers and Ryder really just enjoyed tagging along and playing in the gator.  It was a great family weekend!

My baby is TWO!!

Ryder Wayne is growing up way too fast just like his older sister and brother are!  We celebrated the occasion with a John Deere themed party yesterday with family and friends.  Ryder was excited to see so many different people at our house and he was not overwhelmed as he was last year.  Pizza is one of Ryder's favorites so that is what we had for supper along with a big salad.  Our sweet friend from church, who happens to be our new preacher's wife as well, made Ryder's cake.  It was adorable! Ryder enjoyed opening all his gifts from everyone then we headed outside for the BIG gift.  Several family members went in with us to get Ryder a battery operated John Deere tractor riding toy.  He was excited about it at first until he realized HE could be in control of the whole thing!  Hopefully it won't take him too long before he is brave enough to give it another try.  We all had a fun time and we are so blessed to have the family and friends we have.  Thank you everyone for loving us and Ryder so much...we love y'all!

Ryder Wayne~ Daddy and I love you so very much!  You have brought so much joy into our lives and we thank God everyday for you.  It is so much fun to watch you grow and discover new things.  You LOVE tractors, animals, anything to do with balls...especially football, your boom-boom, playing with KK and Bubba, helping your Daddy feed the chickens and Bella every evening, and giving your Momma plenty of wet kisses and big hugs during the day.  And what a talker you are these days!  There is never a dull moment with you around and we love you so very much!  Happy 2nd Birthday sweet boy!!
