End of Season

Sheldon has his last game of the season last night and played a great game!  The coach had the whole team and their families over to his house for a party which was fun for the boys.  We also went to the closing ceremonies and the A's got 2nd place...way to go boys!!!  Sheldon thoroughly enjoyed playing baseball and learned a whole lot...he is ready for next year!!!

End of School Stuff

The last week of school was crazy busy with Kalyn and Sheldon's end of year "stuff." They had their awards program with both kids getting several certificates for various achievements (Top 15% in Math and/or Reading, All A's , Citizenship Award, etc...). We are very proud of them!! The last day of school was fun with class parties. Ryder and I shuffled back and forth between Sheldon's party at the park and Kalyn's party at school. Both parties were full of fun with games, water slides, bounce houses, laughter, and FOOD. It was a perfect ending to another GREAT year...now on to 5th and 3rd grade next year!!! Hard to believe!!!

Daddy's Garden

Ricky's garden is coming along very nicely and we have been enjoying the abundance of fresh veggies!  We have had lots of squash, zucchini, and cucumbers as well as some tomatoes.  We are anxious for the okra, black-eyed peas, cantaloupe and watermelon to enjoy as well.  Ricky has also been busy making pickles, jalapenos, and relish too...mmmmm!!!

Sheldon's Field Day

Sheldon had his field day today and boy, was it fun!!! Half of it included lots of WATER games. The kids really loved it and it was a great way to keep them cool all morning. There were fun games like
4-team tug-o-war with a pool in the middle, relays with water, slip 'n slide, etc. It was just really amusing to watch Sheldon and his classmates get such a kick out of each activity...oh to be a kid again! After lunch the races started and let me tell you, my son is awesome! Not trying to brag too much, but he is always full of surprises! He ran the 400m and got 2nd place then his relay team for the 400m got 1st. Sheldon ran the last leg (just like his momma used to) and did an awesome job finishing the race. Sheldon finished out his afternoon by earning 1st place in the 50 yd dash...that's my boy! :o)

Happy Mother's Day!!

I feel honored to be called "Mommy" by Kalyn, Sheldon and Ryder.  God has blessed me with three precious children to raise and I hope He is pleased with what I have done so far.  I pray daily that He will provide me just the right ounce of wisdom, patience, understanding, nuturing, kindness, and love to do His will in raising those kiddos.  My cup runneth over!!

My babies....

Ricky and I also feel so blessed to have both of our moms in our lives!  Thank you for loving us and our kids so much...you are appreciated for everything you do for us and our family.  We love you Oni and Mimi!!

7 months....whoa!!

Time just keeps on flying by!  Ryder is now seven months old and is just as cute as can be.  He is really showing his personality and loves to be the center of attention.  Rolling over both ways has been accomplished to where he gets himself all over the tile floor.  And he is also sitting up on his own!  We celebrated our first Easter as a family of five...little toot slept through the whole egg hunt! :o)  Ryder still enjoys nursing 4-5 times a day and is eating solids 3x a day with no problems.  His favorite meal is suppertime and seems to really chow down on peas/green beans and apple/blueberry fruit mix.  Our boy is also sleeping through the night like a champ and takes 2 long naps in the morning and afternoon then a shorter one right before supper.  He really loves jumping and playing in his exersaucer too.  Animals are a big hit with Ryder...he especially loves Bella and will laugh everytime she comes close to him.  We are so thankful that God blessed us with sweet Ryder Wayne!
