Kalyn and Sheldon had their end of school music program this past Monday evening. They were so excited because it was "western" and also the fact that it meant the school year is coming to an end soon. The program was short (whew) because it only involved Pre-K through 2nd grade. My parents and Ricky's mom were able to attend and we enjoyed having them with us. I have to admit I was not sure how Sheldon would do knowing how much he hates being in front of an audience, but he surprised me. He was a big boy and did a wonderful job! His big sister had a huge part in helping him do so well...she was very encouraging to him and I noticed he would look at her often while on the stage for reassurance. He was the cutest cowboy on the stage if I must say so myself. Kalyn and her group got on the stage at the end and it was bittersweet for me to see how much she has really grown in just the past year. It is hard to believe she is about to finish her THIRD school year at Lexington Elementary. She loves to sing and it was a joy to watch her enjoy herself onstage with her classmates. Yee-haw!
