Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!

Kalyn is getting way too close to becoming a teenager and this momma is not looking forward to it!!  Don't get me wrong, I am so very proud of her and it is fun watching her grow up, but I really could wait a just a little longer before dealing with hormones, boys and all the stuff that come along with being a parent of a teenager.  Pray for us please!! :o) 

Kalyn actually started her birthday celebration last weekend in San Antonio with her dad and family.  They all went to the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo together and had a blast.  Lady Antebellum was the entertainment which Kalyn loved!  Kalyn's actual birthday was on Thursday (Feb 28th) so we took her out to eat at Granny's then let her open gifts from us after we got home.  She had been wanting her own personal dvd player for quite some time to watch movies in bed on the weekends...she was excited when she finally got it!  Ryder helped me make pecan pie and chocolate covered strawberries which we all definitely enjoyed eating up.

We ended Kalyn's 11th birthday celebration with her "Breaking Dawn" party this afternoon with friends and family. The girls started out with a Twilight Saga scavenger hunt which was fun even though Daddy Ricky did a really good job of hiding the items!! After the party, we enjoyed a taco/fajita supper with my parents and Kalyn's dad's crew. It was yummy and a great ending to a busy day. Kalyn had a couple girls spend the night and they had fun just being girls...plenty of laughter, chatting, talking about boys, eating popcorn with m&ms and watching Breaking Dawn Part 2.
