Roosters and Hens

We have two full-grown roosters with completely different physical appearances and personalities. The first one was given the name of "Roo-Roo" by the kids. He is pretty much in charge of all the chickens around here. He is aggressive and would sometimes chase us before he got several good kicks from us and stopped doing that. I personally think he is prettier than the other rooster, but Ricky seems to think otherwise. The other rooster doesn't have a name, but he is very reserved and timid. He is a strange looking rooster, but very unique! It is funny to watch them both run after all the hens...you can definitely see the jealousy!



Now about the hens...they seem to be the ones who cause more trouble these days! They are the ones who got into my flowerbeds. Thanks to Ricky they seem to have stopped doing that. BUT...I caught a hen in one of my planters this afternoon! Not only that, several other hens decided to "relax" in the dirt against the side of our house! I guess it was cooler there today?? Who knows! I thought it was pretty funny.
