Ricky took Sheldon on a canoe trip with a group from church (mostly fathers/sons and a few girls) today. Sheldon was excited to have the opportunity to do something "special" just with Daddy Ricky! They met the church van at Peterson's in Lexington then followed them to Columbus. Once they got there, they got the kayaks and canoes in the Colorado River and started the 4 hour trip down the river. There were several stops to eat lunch and swim. Ricky gave a short devo to the group before returning home...I am so proud of him! Sheldon told me he had fun even though he didn't do much paddling...ha! :o) I hope this trip is the first of many more special father/son trips to come!
