Homecoming

Ricky's mom and I headed to the high school mid afternoon to meet the kids at the pep rally.  I wanted to get good seats before it got too crowded.  It quickly became LOUD and CRAZY in the gym as all the kids started to flood in for the pep rally.  It is always fun for me to relive my memories of my high school days this way...I miss it sometimes!!!  After the pep rally we headed home for a little bit. Kalyn and I got a kick start on our evening by arriving at the stadium an hour and half early to help sell spirit bands for the cheer squad.  Kalyn and her friends did a great job getting the word out and had fun too!  After our shift we went to eat at Granny's restaurant before the game with Ricky, Sheldon, and my mother in law.  By the time we finished and got back to the stadium the game had already started, but our good friends, the Juneks, saved us some seats so it worked out very well.  The Juneks' son, Allen, is a Sophomore on the Varsity team so it was exciting to be able to watch him on the field.  He is a starter on the team and known to be a great player, but for some reason he didn't get to play vey much...darn!!  Kalyn and Sheldon had fun hanging out with their friends and showing their Eagle pride even though we lost the game by one point.  It was a fun evening and we are proud of our Lexington Eagles!!!
