When we first found out we were pregnant, Ricky and I just planned for Ryder to stay in our room until he was about a year old then move him into Sheldon's room. We had several people...mainly family members..tell us over and over that we should just add another room to the house or put him in one of the dining rooms. About a few months back Ricky and I decided (ok really I did) that we should just convert the main dining room into a 4th bedroom by adding a wall. Soooo....construction began on Labor Day weekend. Our good friend from church, Paul Jenkins, helped Ricky get the wall frame up and the pocket sliding door into place. Ricky did the rest of the work on his own and did a wonderful job...thank you sweetie!! Kalyn and Pat, my mother-in-law, helped me with some of the painting and my mom helped me figure out where to put everything...slowly, little by little, the room started to come together. I saw camo plywood panels at the lumber store in town not too long ago and got this idea that we could use it in the boys' room somehow (Sheldon's room is camo too). Ricky cut the panel into half and used trim for the frame and drilled it onto the wall...it looks SO cute!! I am very excited about the way the room turned out and am now READY for our sweet baby boy to join us!!
