Red Ribbon Week

Lexington ISD kicked off their annual Red Ribbon Week with a pep rally last Friday at the football stadium.  Kalyn's squad did a cheer which was really cute and there were a few speeches given by the athletes to encourage all students to say NO to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc.  I was really impressed and proud of the football players when one of them told the crowd that he did not drink or do drugs...he was really passionate about it and made sure to tell everyone especially the little kids how cool it is NOT to do drugs or drink.  We need more teenagers like him who are not afraid to say that!

This week started out with another small rally at the elementary school on Monday morning.  Kalyn and her squad did another cheer as well.  Like in past years, each day this week had a theme which allowed students to dress up for school...so fun!  Kalyn and Sheldon really enjoyed doing this and came up with their own outfits each morning.  They are really growing up SO fast!!!
