Cousins and fishing buddies for life!

Ricky, Ryder and I went to Lake Somerville over the weekend to see Ricky's cousin John for his 45th birthday. He had rented a cabin for himself, his daughter Sara, and Uncle Danny. They invited us to come fish with them...well Ricky anyway!! Ryder and I just tagged along to watch Daddy. Ricky and John are 3-1/2 months apart and grew up fishing together. Ricky has told me and the kids countless fishing stories from "back in the day" and now that he's strapped down with a wife and three kids he doesn't fish near as much as he used to. They used to fish ALL weekend every weekend! Anyway, it was fun to see John, Sara and Uncle Danny for a couple hours even though the fish weren't biting at all. It was good for Ryder to see Uncle Danny too...he looks SO MUCH like Ricky's daddy (Pepaw to our kids). This might sound silly, but somehow watching Uncle Danny with Ryder gave me a small glimpse of what it would be like if Pepaw was still alive...we miss him so much!
