Meat Processing, Trail of Lights, and Baby Shower Weekend

Hmmm...weird title, but that is exactly what we did in Llano this weekend. My parents got some pork and wanted to share with us so we helped make breakfast sausage and ground pork yesterday morning....yum!! The kids had not seen their first cousins in quite a while and they were so-o-o excited to get to play with each other. Colten and Sheldon were outside most of the weekend and pretty much stayed out of sight while the girls and babies had fun just playing in the house. Carie, mom and I really enjoyed catching up, shopping, and just visiting. We also took the kiddos to see the lights at the park after watching Johnny Manziel win the Heisman trophy last night...whoop! Since it was late getting there we didn't get to see Santa, but had fun strolling through the trail of lights and watching the kids slide down a hill of snow. Then after lunch friends and family from my parents' church threw a baby shower for my cousin Kyndel and her baby girl, Kessler Jo. It was wonderful to be part of the celebration to see Kyndel, Kristi and Aunt Joni experience this joyous event in their family. Praying for a safe delivery for Kyndel and Michael....we are sooo excited to meet their new precious blessing due to make her appearance in February!
