Fun in Kerrville, TX

This year for our family vacation with my parents and my sister's family, we went to the Guadalupe RV Resort in Kerrville. My parents rented two cabins and brought the RV. It was a really nice place and we had lots of fun together!! The four older grandkids (Kalyn, Sheldon, Colten and Cambry) stayed in the RV with Oni and Granden. Kalyn and Sheldon were so-o-o- excited about doing this!!!My sister and I each had our own cabins which was really nice especially with both of us having a baby/toddler. Ricky and I cooked breakfast all three mornings and my mom and sister had all the fixins for our lunches and supper one evening. All the food was awesome and we definitely ate way too much! The last evening we went to a really good seafood place and had a great time together. The resort had a really nice family pool which we all enjoyed using several times per day. Even sweet Ryder really enjoyed swimming and did really well. Carie, mom, and I enjoyed the adult pool in the afternoons while the kids napped...it was a GREAT break for me and my sister for sure! Kalyn, Sheldon, Colten, and Cambry had lots of fun riding their bikes all over the park, playing basketball with the dads, playing on the cool playscape, chilling in the RV, and just being together. Kalyn had fun with Cambry...they painted their toes, played with Barbies, and did "girly" stuff that Kalyn doesn't get to do much with Sheldon around...ha! Carrys and Ryder were so funny to watch...they would give each other kisses, chase each other on the floor, and "talk" to each other. Soooo cute! They will definitely be buddies! One day we tried to swim in the river close to the cabins, but never really found a good spot to swim. The kids enjoyed walking over the s-l-i-p-p-e-r-y rocks though! Mom, Carie and I were just glad we didn't hurt ourselves...ha!! Another day we drove to the dam and slid down into the water....it was a BLAST! Even my Daddy went down which was so awesome!!! :o) Daddy did a short family devotional on Sunday morning and it was about rejoicing in the day the Lord has made. It was a sweet one because I can remember from my childhood how Daddy would always sing "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it" to Carie and me in the mornings. Sometimes it got annoying during my teen years (ha), but those words have remained in my heart and I am so thankful for that. We have so much to rejoice about in our family...we are all so incredibly blessed to have each other and God continues to shower us with more to be thankful about each and every day. Thank you mom and daddy for another awesome family vacation...we love you so much!
