Christmas #2...at Mimi's House

Kalyn and Sheldon came home around mid morning on the 26th. We were so happy to see them!! They had fun with their dad and were ready to have Christmas with us at home then go to Llano the following week. We spent the day unpacking and catching up before we went over to Mimi's house for our 2nd Christmas. Brad and Damary came out here and it was really good for us all to be together again. Mimi made enchiladas and tortilla soup. Her soup is one of my favorites...it hits the spot every time! Kalyn and Sheldon talked ALL DAY about the "big gift" from Mimi...they couldn't wait to open it. We finally let them at it and they were suprised to find it to be a basketball goal. Uncle Brad and Aunt Damary gave Kalyn and Sheldon each a basketball to play with. They loved it! After Mimi opened her gifts it was our turn. She had Brad and Ricky sit beside us wives so we could open our gifts together. We didn't know what to expect and boy, were we in for a surprise! There were 5 different boxes or packages inside a big box...each had a certain amount of money. By the time we were done we were already trying to figure out what to buy for ourselves!! After everyone opened their gifts we played the "pass the candy cane" game (look at last year's post to see how it's played). Damary won this year! Mimi knew the kids would probably be disappointed if they didn't win...she was right. Luckily she thought in advance and got them m&m candy canes too! It was a great night with family...thank you Pat!!!
