Christmas #4,#5, and #6...Back in Llano!

Since Kalyn and Sheldon weren't in Llano with us the week before for Christmas, we celebrated again on New Year's weekend with my family. Ricky was off Wed-Fri so we headed to Llano on Wednesday after lunch. The kids were so excited and we were too! It is always so nice to be at the ranch and just relax with family.

My sister and her family arrived the next day on New Year's Eve. It was also my parents' and aunt and uncles's wedding anniversary. They had a double wedding which I have always thought was so neat! The four of them went out on a "double date" for dinner and a movie. Carie and I decided we would go out as well for New Years Eve. We were surprised there wasn't a long wait and the food was great. Even the kiddos behaved very well! When we got back to the house Caleb and Ricky had firecrackers for the kids. They loved the sparklers and black cats. The loud ones were great, too! The kids thought it was especially funny when their daddies decided to gang up on the mommies by throwing black cats at them! Carie and I were screaming and laughing so hard...it was hilarious. After the kids were in bed we sat up and waited for our parents to get home...what a weird concept that was for us!! We all rang in the new year together before going to bed.

Happy Anniversary!

Even Cambry got one!

Ricky and I woke up the next morning with the yucky stomach bug...ugh. We were able to make it through the annual Christmas gift opening with my parents and the kids. Kalyn, Sheldon, Colten, and Cambry were SO excited and looked cute in their Christmas pajamas. Kalyn and Sheldon both got new boots and several outfits. Kalyn got another wii game...High School Musical...from Carie, Caleb, Colten, and Cambry. Sheldon got the Star Wars-"Unleashed" wii game. They were really excited and couldn't wait to try them out at home. Soon after we were done with all the gifts it was time to start getting lunch ready. My grandfather's birthday is on New Year's day so we celebrated New Years and his birthday. He turned 85 this year! My cousin Dan and his girlfriend, Marisa joined us as well. It was great to see Dan and get to know Marisa...she is really sweet and good for him! After lunch we exchanged Christmas gifts for the 5th time with Boppo, Judy, Dan, and Marisa. Ricky stayed in bed most of the day and finally came out later in the afternoon. We were both ready to go to bed by 9pm that night.

Saturday was much better after getting a good night's sleep. I still felt a little run down, but was able to join in with activities more. My mom's family came out to the ranch to give the kids their Christmas presents since they weren't there at Christmas Eve. So that was Christmas #6...more clothes and a few more toys. My cousin, Kristi, brought sugar cookies for the kids to decorate. They LOVED getting "free rein" with all the icing. I seriously don't know how anyone could eat a cookie with so much icing on it...but they did! We spent the rest of the day just visiting, playing games, and relaxing. It was great.

I got a vest!!
A horse sweater!!

We were sad to come back home on Sunday, but at the same time it felt good to be back in our own beds and get back in routine. Kalyn and Sheldon had so much fun playing with Colten and Cambry. They were all good for the most part...there were a few tiffs here and there though! We always look forward to the next time we can all be back together again.
