Eight years ago today....

I gave birth to a precious little baby girl. Kalyn Leigh came into this world 10 days later than her expected due date. I was actually scheduled to be induced in the evening on the 28th, but the she decided she would surprise us at the very last minute. I went into labor around 3am that morning and she finally joined us at 10:58pm. My life was forever changed at that moment. I was now a mother and she was my daughter. We have a very special relationship, one that I treasure very much. I am so blessed that God chose me to be her mother and I am so proud of who she has become.

Here are 8 things I love the most about my precious Kalyn:

1) She loves her family so much.
2) She has a big heart and worries about everyone.
3) She loves animals and being outside in the country.
4) She is fluent in sign language...she signed her first word (more) at just 5 months old!
5) She is a wonderful friend and truly cares about their feelings.
6) She enjoys having alone time with her mommy. We'll see just how long that lasts, huh?
7) She is a great helper around the house and usually doesn't complain about it too much.
8) She loves her God and has a strong desire to know Him better.

Precious Kalyn Leigh,

I love you so very much...all the way to the moon and back! You have made my life so wonderful by being my baby girl. I am so proud of who you are and continue to pray for you as you grow up in the Lord. He has big plans for you and I can't wait to see what they are!

Happy Birthday!

Love,
Mommy

Awww I can't believe she is getting so big! I remember so well when she was born! I loved snuggling her after you would nurse her before you went to work... I think we slept in my chair a few times after you left. She is growing up to be such the spitting image of her beautiful mommy!
