Tanner Wayne

Today would have been my cousin Tanner's 30th birthday. He was killed in 1999 in a car wreck on Labor Day weekend. It was an awful, awful weekend and we have missed him terribly since then. Even though he was the biggest stinker ever, he was one of the best people I had ever known! I have many fond memories of him from when we were growing up together as first cousins. Most of them involve me getting hurt or us getting into some kind of mischief! :o) I really miss him even more the older I become because Ricky has so many of the same characteristics Tanner had...he was truly a country boy through and through. He loved to be outside working, hunting, fishing, etc. I know Tanner and Ricky would have gotten along so well and he would have loved Kalyn and Sheldon too. I look forward to the day when I get to heaven and see him standing there with that big goofy smile of his. Happy 30th Birthday, Tanner...I love you cuz!
