Happy Mother's Day!
We started our Mother's Day celebration early this year. Ricky's mom invited me and Kalyn to go with her to a luncheon at the baptist church in Manor. The room was decorated like royalty...the tables had fancy dishes with jewelry on them, two thrones were set up for pictures to be taken, and several ladies and young girls wore tiaras too! The food was very good and there was some singing and a short devo done by one of the ladies. Kalyn and I enjoyed being with Pat/Mimi, Aunt Pam, Shyann, Stephanie and Hailey. Thanks for inviting us Pat!!

On Sunday morning all the mothers were surprised during the worship service with several little gifts from our sweet church family...a carnation, book about mothers, and a small flashlight for our purse. My sweet kids and hubby gave me a new treillis for outside (with the Texas star) and a pretty necklace that says MOM. I am so blessed to have such loving kids who call me their mom...God is so good to me!
Later in the afternoon, Ricky's mom and brother came out to our place so that Pat could be with both her boys for Mother's Day. Kalyn enjoyed posing for pictures taken by Mimi and Sheldon had fun hunting with Uncle Brad. Ricky cooked us a yummy supper...pork chops, potatoes, sweet corn on the cob, and fruit salad. Brad couldn't help much because our little stinker, Sheldon, would not let him!! HA!! Kalyn and Sheldon love their Uncle Brad and had so much fun being with him.

To my own mother...I missed being with you today, but know you are aware just how much I love you! Thank you for all your years of love, support, and encouragement in everything I did and do now. I can only hope that I am the same great model of a wife and mother as you are to my children. I thank God everyday for blessing me with you as my mother...love you always!!
