June...even busier!!

School is OUT!!  Kalyn and Sheldon had their end of year awards assembly and class parties the last few days of school.  Both received several awards and certificates for a successful academic school year.  The last day was bittersweet for me to see Kalyn walk away from elementary school for the last time...so hard to believe she's going into the 6th grade this year!  Both kids had fun with their classmates outside on water slides and bounce houses.  A huge thanks to all the 3rd and 5th grade teachers for a successful year!

Last day of school picture...ready for summer!!

Kalyn and I went to get our annual end of the year pedicures.  We both enjoy this time together alone just to visit and get pampered.  So proud of my sweet girl!
Sitting in the comfy chair!

It's time to swim!!  We spent quite a bit of time in our pool during June...mostly during the evenings.  Ryder really loves the water and really seemed to enjoy himself this summer.  SO fun!
Happy boy!
Ahhh...the smiles of summer!
Um...I think the pool is a bit full now!
Having fun!
We went to the closing ceremonies for the end of baseball season and found out that Sheldon made the All-Star team!  Soooo things really got busy with ball practice everyday for two weeks before the big tournament in Bellville.  Our boys did awesome and came out with 3rd place.  Sheldon played on the Lee County team which had a lot of experienced ball players so he really learned a lot.  The coaches were wonderful with him and gave him lots of encouragement and new pointers.  It was a very good experience for Sheldon and he says he wants to do it again next summer...we will see how that goes!!

Kalyn and her friend Abigail took a "Safe Sitter" class together in College Station to become expert babysitters certified in CPR.  The classes were three days and Kalyn said she learned so much and feels more prepared for emergency situations that might arise during a babysitting job.  The parents were invited to their graduation ceremony on the last day.  Kalyn was selected to read her essay to us about what all she learned and she did a great job.  She is a lot like I was at her age and I have no doubt she will be a wonderful babysitter...so proud of her!

Happy Father's Day!  Our kids are so blessed to have Ricky in their lives and he has done a great job in raising them as a Christian father should.  I love to watch them have fun and tease each other...and that is DAILY around here!!  I am also grateful and blessed to have the close relationship I have with my daddy too.  He has always been there for me and continues to be a huge influence in my life.  Love you Daddy!

Circus of Faith was the theme for our VBS this summer.  We had lots of fun learning about God and his love for us.  The kids all had a fun time and enjoyed being with each other for 3 days in a row.  The friendships my kids have at our church is a huge blessing because they all truly love each other and it is a good feeling to know they will support each other through the teen years when things get tough.

Sheldon and I went on a mother/son date with one of my close friends and her son one evening.  A couple other boys tagged along with us too.  We took the boys to Dell Diamond to watch the movie "The Sandlot" on the jumbo tron. It was really neat because everyone could bring blankets/pillows to put on the ball field during the movie.  Sheldon LOVED this and we really had a good time...Bonnie and I especially enjoyed catching up and visiting during the movie!
Excited boys ready to see the movie!

Love being with my sweet boy!!
