Yesterday morning we got to Sea World soon after it opened and the kids wanted to try
out the Shamu rollercoaster. They ended up liking it so much that they did it 3-4 times throughout the day! Next, we went to the kids' pirate ship area where they have nets, tunnels, etc for the kids to climb and go through...that was an adventure for them! We caught the tea cup ferris wheel ride after this...Ricky rode with Sheldon and Kalyn shared a tea cup with Colten. After all that climbing and riding they were ready for a short rest so we caught our seats for "Believe!" with Shamu. It was
fantastic as always...Ricky took the older kids down to the "splash zone" in hopes of getting refreshed...didn't happen! After the show ended the younger adults decided to go on "The Great White" which brought back alot of memories from my younger days at Six Flags with my friends...it was awesome!! I forgot how much I love rollercoasters!! We were starving by the time we got off our ride so we got some lunch....an expensive lunch!! I still cannot get over how much everything costs there...almost $4 for a medium drink?! Nevertheless, it was a vacation so that goes with the territory, right? Carie and I didn't want the kids to go on any rides until our lunch had time
to digest so we decided to catch another show. We went to the "Cannery Row Caper" with the sea lions, walrus, and otter...very funny! The kids were very still and enjoyed it very much. We also saw "Viva!" with the dolphins and divers...I think this one has always been a favorite of mine. To end our day at Sea World we went to see the Budweiser
horses and we were able to get in line to take a picture holding a HUGE yellow python. That thing was heavy!!! They wouldn't let us use our own cameras, but I think Caleb might have snuck one in so I will post it later if it turns out okay. Sheldon is like Ricky...they love snakes!! Kalyn and I really don't care for them, but it was a neat experience for us to hold that thing, I guess. As we were leaving one of the workers brought out a clydesdale out of a stall so back in the line Kalyn and I went. Kalyn has developed a fondness of horses as I always have so we both wanted to pet the horse. We were first in the line and as we walked up to the horse it was unbelievable how HUGE it was! Kalyn thought it was so cool! ;o) We had a fun d
ay at Sea World!! I bet you can guess what the kids wanted to do as soon as we got back to the hotel...swim!! So down to the pool we went for a quick swim before supper. Caleb and Carie decided to go home after supper so the kids could sleep better and we headed back to the hotel with my parents. The kids wanted to go swimming again as soon as we got there!!! I think my dad is the only one who swam with them each and every time....what a wonderful grandpa!! Thank you mom and dad for a wonderful weekend! We love you both very much.
This morning we decided to go to church with our old friends at MacArthur Park church of Christ. It was so good to see everyone! Our friends at Mac are so special to me and the kids and we miss each and every one of you so much! The kids surprised us by going to Sonshine Worship with no trouble at all...a special thank you to Mrs. Tamra for letting Sheldon go with his sister! We hope to see those of you who we missed this morning real soon!! Better yet, come see us!! ;o) We concluded our weekend with a fabulous lunch at Olive Garden then a short visit with Pappa and Nanna (Springer grandparents) on our way home. Granny Moore was there as well. The kids enjoyed seeing y'all and look forward to more time with you next weekend. Love y'all!
