Papa O and Granny...going to the hog farm with Papa O, swimming in their pool in the summer (Granny falling off the whale/shark float...so funny!), going to rodeos, MANY visits to the DQ, visiting Granny at her office before she retired, delicious meals after church on Sundays, riding Rocky, Sanny and Buster in the back yard, deer hunting with Papa O and shooting my first deer, staying in their trailer at reunions, sharing birthdays with Papa O on Thanksgiving, Port Aransas, and our ongoing Christmas Eve tradition. Thank you for all the fun times we had together and for the awesome example you have set for us.
Boppo and Mimi...getting our Cabbage Patch Kid dolls from Winn's, playing the piano, Mimi's "famous" meal (steak with gravy, french fries, biscuits, salad, black eyed beans...YUM!), the sweetest tea ever, learning how to like coffee with lots of cream and sugar, Boppo teaching me how to mix my fried eggs with bacon, going to the ranch and eating hamburgers at the cabin, feeding cows, playing jokes on Mimi and lots of laughter, Mimi patting us to sleep almost every night we were at their house, MANY different cars through the years, and family gatherings at holidays. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and everything you taught us through the years!
I am so thankful that my kids have been blessed to know my grandparents as well. Mimi would have loved them for sure! They have been so blessed to have several sets of grandparents in their lives as well: Granden and Oni, Pappa and Nanna, and Pepaw and Mimi. Pepaw passed away last year, but we are glad he left us knowing he had two little grandkids who loved him! I know the kids will have their own special memories as they get older about each set of grandparents. Here are a few comments from Kalyn and Sheldon...

Pappa and Nanna: Kalyn says thank you for reading the "airplane" book to us and all our fun trips! Thank you so much..I love you! Sheldon says thank you for taking me to the museum and playing Indians with me. And for playing doctor with us. I love you!
Pepaw and Mimi: Kalyn says thank you for drawing with me and playing school with me. I love you! Sheldon says I love staying with Mimi because she plays cars with me. I like watching Richie Rich with you. I love you!

What great pictures and wonderful memories you have for your children with their grandparents. Me, too, I have great memories with my grandparents, and that is what life is all about!
