We woke up late this morning! For some reason the alarm didn't go off or we slept through the alarm and missed church. I know I was tired from yesterday's garage sale and being woken up at least 4 times during the night by a little stinker. He said he was scared and couldn't go back to sleep...I think the lightning and thundering must have woken him up. Kalyn slept all night...she has always been a GREAT sleeper (most of the time).
Ricky decided to cook fried eggs, bacon, and cinnamon rolls for breakfast this morning...Mmm!! We ate everything up!! After I finished cleaning up the kitchen and fixed our lunch in the crock pot, Ricky suggested for us to go on a walk around our place to explore and enjoy God's creation. So off we went in our pajamas and rain boots. I must tell you, we were a sight to behold with our wardrobe! Nevertheless, we are in the country so who cares!! Kalyn and Sheldon LOVED walking in the mud with Daddy Ricky. We walked past the tanks to see if there was more water after the rain we had the last few days. We couldn't really see much difference so I guess we need quite a bit more rain for it to be more noticeable. Kalyn and Sheldon also enjoyed getting into Ricky's deer blind...they found a bird's nest in it. Sheldon found the binoculars and carried them the rest of the way home. It was a nice cool morning for a walk with my family. I am always reminded how great our God is and how blessed we are to live here in the country.
