Kalyn's class went to the Bush Library and Museum in College Station for the 3rd grade field trip today. Parents weren't allowed to ride the school bus with the kids (and I really didn't want to either!) so I headed to College Station right after I dropped the kids off at school. I picked up my cousin, Mandy, and we met the kids at the library. I hadn't seen Mandy in a long time and she needed to go to the library anyway to get extra credit for her History class. We got to the library just as the kids were getting off the school buses...perfect timing! Kalyn and I had already been to this library a couple times ourselves so we knew what to expect...it is a neat place! We watched a short video presentation about George Bush's life, then a lady took us on a tour. She was probably in her 70s and really liked to talk...loves her job I bet! When the tour was over we headed to Gattitown for lunch. The 3rd graders were all very hungry and ready to play video games!! Kalyn enjoyed riding the bumper cars and played a few games before it was time to leave. Kalyn and I enjoyed visiting with Mandy and being in Aggieland...I've missed that place!! It was a great day!
