It was a great day! Sheldon and his fellow classmmates had their field day at the high school track today. There were kids from Pre-K through 2nd grade participating in all the different events. To make the day even better, my dad (aka Granden) came to watch! Sheldon was so excited and had so much fun competing in everything. Each class went through different rotations so that everyone could visit each station. There was the parachute volleyball, hurdles, softball throw, 3-legged race, croquet, tug-o-war, long jump, obstacle course, tire race, and probably a few more that I've left out. Sheldon is very FAST and throws far so he came out in first in several events. I was approached by several parents letting me know that he needed to play baseball and football with that arm of his and his speed...ha! We will see when he is ready to do that. Lunch came and we enjoyed the break as we sat under some shade eating our food and just visiting. The relays and a few races took place pretty soon after we were done eating lunch and it was very HOT by then...it had been pretty chilly most of the morning! Sheldon ran the 400 meter relay, running 3rd leg. His team was behind, but Sheldon got them caught up to 2nd place I think. Afterwards was the 100 yd dash which Sheldon ran and won 1st place. It was really fun for me and my dad to watch Sheldon and we were very proud of him. He loves to compete and had so much fun. It was a great day for everyone and even better for Sheldon just having Granden there with him...thank you Granden for taking the time to come spend the day with us!!
