The World is a Rainbow

We all went to watch Sheldon in the Spring program at school last night. Only PreK-2nd grade classes do the show so Kalyn was able to sit in the audience with us this year. We were a bit disapppointed because there was not much seating and we could not see Sheldon very well. In the past few years the kids were on the stage, but with this year's theme they were on the gym floor. It was also very HOT in the gym/cafeteria too! Sheldon surprised us all this year by actively participating in the program whereas in the past he was very timid about doing anything. He sang all the songs and did all the movements he was supposed to do...and he was very proud of himself! Each class did different songs representing a color in the rainbow. Pre-K did "Part of the Heart of the Sky", Kindergarten did "Purple People Eater" and "Green Eggs and Ham," 1st grade did "Yellow (Amarillo)," and "99 Red Balloons," and 2nd grade did "Orange Blossom Special" and "Blue (Da Ba Dee). All the classes ended the program by singing "The World is a Rainbow." There was a lot of activity and movement involved in the program which was fun for the kids so that is all that matters. Sheldon had fun and enjoyed having us all there to watch him!
